A few thoughts…

Practice when to flow with the tide, and when to harness the wind.
Tide is constant, balanced, harmonious.
Wind is like emotion, can rise gently and fall away easily… or grow quickly to a towering rage until its energy is expended…

People are the products of their environment.
Which parts of your environment do you choose to be?

Coaching in adventure sports requires constant reference to the learning environment. How to harness natural forces, such as utilising the energy of the tide and make decisions considering the wind. Seeing the benefits of calculated risk-taking for that person at that time, and then facilitating genuine learning by predicting a changing environment.
